The Burbank Connexion project is a series of high-profile Burbank buildings located in the heart of downtown Burbank. Designed by Patrick Tighe Architecture and illuminated by LEDCONN, the lighting for this architectural space was inspired by an iconic layout of a major Los Angeles freeway. Over 90+ large, slim LUXFIT Edge-Lit LED Light Panels are embedded in this installation. LEDCONN’s engineering team customized each LED panel into different sizes and shapes to illuminate every perforated metal sheet utilized in this lighting installation. Unlike traditional backlighting, which typically requires a thick framework or provides uneven indirect lighting techniques, LEDCONN custom engineered our 5/16″(8mm) LUXFIT Edge-Lit LED light panels with unique laser-etched Light Guide Patterns to provide the most even type of illumination across all LED panels. Through Edge-Lit Light Guide Panel Technology, LEDCONN successfully controlled the lighting output per panel by minimally populating a small number of LEDs just along the panel edges rather than behind the entire panel.
